THE NEAT REVIEW

Unashamedly eclectic since 2019.

Through conversations with artists and magicians, we discuss all manner of approaches to magic
and sleight of hand, performative or otherwise.

Each issue of THE NEAT REVIEW focuses on a different way of looking at magic, primarily informed by the geographical and cultural influences of the contributing artists. Each issue is thus set in a different city about the world, with the contributors coming from that city (or thereabouts). Issue One was London, Issue Two in New York City, and Issue Three in Tokyo.
Issue Four treads delicately to mark the time of the past two years, and is set Everywhere and Nowhere.

We have been lucky to work with Olivier Award-winning playwrights, professors of mathematics and cognitive psychology, photographers, painters, philosophers, a hacker, a weed farm owner, a professional gambler, and some of the best magicians in the world to hear their stories and appreciate what it is to “Play as adults”.
